Eat, sleep, and drink Corsica wines.. ;-)

I have been recently amazed by wine from Corsica as incredibly great taste/flavour wines, especially the Domaine Comte Abbattucci.

Located in the south-west part of the Island the are producing a vast range of red and white wines from biodynamic growing, but their cuvee Faustine red is the one I felt in love.

Made from Niellucciu and Sciaccarellu grapes, has some flavour of plums, black cherries, spicy flavour and a medium body lenght with velvety tannins.

Have it with a mushroom risotto and truffle on it will make you a very happy person.

E' incredibile quanto ci sia tanto da scoprire ancora in alcuni paesi, uno su tutti la Corsica.

Questo e' quello che chiamo scoprire qualcosa che hai sotto il naso, i vini Corsi.

L'azienda in questione si chiama Comte Abbattucci, nel sud ovest della Corsica, produzione in regime biodinamico, e il loro cuvee Faustine e' una gradevolissima scoperta dei vitigni Niellucciu e Sciaccarellu, precisione e classe nel vino ovviamente come i francesi sanno fare, ma sensuale al naso con profumi di ciliegia, marasca, leggera speziatura, humus e che si fa bere una meraviglia.

Aggiungeteci poi una serata tra amici ed un risottino ai funghi con tartufo grattugiato fresco, e scoprite cose vuol dire essere felici!
