Brouilly, Georges Duboeuf

This is my wife's favorite wine. If I want to please her, I just have to buy her a Brouilly from Georges Duboeuf. Not that this wine is exceptional but it is just that it brings her good memories ;-)
This Beaujolais is, in fact, very good. Made all of Gamay, it has a generous aroma of red fruits and plum. And Georges Duboeuf produces, in my opinion, the best wine of this appellation. Not an everyday wine because its price is a little bit higher (around $20 CAN) but once in a while it is well worth it.

I don't drink wine enough to become an expert, but I do enjoy a white zinfindel on occasion. I would like to drink more red wine as they say it is good for your heart, but every red I have tried is too dry and sour-tasting. I would love a good, sweet, red wine. Any suggestions?
